Castres’ schedule is always full. In summer and winter, very different cultural and sporting events follow one after the other. In March, the city streets fill with Venetian masked men in their sumptuous costumes during Carnival. Dance and music festivals see the locals twirl during fun evening events. The Christmas market attracts visitors from far and wide to admire the end-of-year decorations and entertainment. In terms of sport, the Black Mountain Trail makes all running enthusiasts sweat.
