Departure from the authentic Tarn Steam Tramway station. The train then turns into a village street, passes the Industrial Railway Museum and runs along the side of the local road. It crosses the River Agout on the Salles Viaduct, the largest engineering structure built in France for a very narrow-gauge railroad, and dominated by the pottery village of Giroussens. After crossing the plain, it climbs up the hillside into the Garrigole woods, stopping at Lascaze in the shade of the oak trees. The conductor will tell you about the history of the old steam tramways and present the association's activities. The train then continues to the Halte des Martels, the temporary terminus. You'll watch the locomotive being put back in the lead, before returning to Saint Lieux station.
The ride lasts around 50 minutes.
