La Vinatière

3 tastefully decorated bedrooms, all with en-suite shower rooms and bathrooms.
A large living room, kitchen, library and fireplace for winter evenings. Dining on the covered terrace with plancha for 10 people.

La Vinatière is a pretty nineteenth-century farmhouse built in 240me, surrounded by fields, woods, small valleys and hillsides, offering a rich palette of colours. Perched on a small green hill, it offers a breathtaking view of the village of Monclar de Quercy, an ancient town with almost 1,000 years of history. La Vinatière has been tastefully refurbished and boasts beautiful interiors. There are three spacious, tastefully decorated bedrooms, all with en suite shower rooms and bathrooms.

The rest of the house offers a large living room of 42m2 with its kitchen, a library of 22m2 with its fireplace for winter evenings. In fine weather, meals can be enjoyed on the 19m2 covered terrace, which is equipped with a plancha and a very large table that can seat around ten people.

It's a calm, relaxing place, ideal for recharging your batteries and forgetting all your everyday worries. Situated in the heart of the Pays de Cocagne, on the last hills of the Bas Quercy region, its surroundings are rich in history and remarkable medieval sites such as Puycelsi, Castelnau de Montmiral, Bruniquel, the majestic town of Cordes sur Ciel, and many others...

Just 20 minutes from La Vinatière, you can visit Montauban, a medieval town that was once a trading and military centre. You'll find the pretty Place Nationale surrounded by arcades, with its shops, bars and restaurants where you can stroll and stop for a drink or lunch, the Toy Museum, the Ingres Museum and the Port Canal, where you can enjoy a stroll along the canal under the trees, as a couple or with the family.

A little further afield, less than an hour away, you'll be dazzled by the majestic city of Albi, a veritable cultural nugget on the doorstep of a generous natural environment. Albi is an architectural treasure trove, renowned for its unforgettable cathedral, which resembles a fortified castle, and its episcopal palace, home to the no less famous Toulouse-Lautrec museum. You'll love getting lost in the picturesque streets of the Episcopal City. Its distinctive feature is the omnipresent brickwork. But Albi is also a city open to nature, with the Rochegude park, a veritable lung of greenery in the heart of the city, the Saint-Salvi cloister or the palace gardens, and the Pratgraussals leisure centre on the banks of the Tarn.

Then, an hour's drive away, Toulouse, known as the pink city. It's a must-see in the heart of south-west France. Once the capital of the Visigoths, now the aeronautics and space capital, Toulouse invites you to discover its two thousand years of history and has plenty of surprises in store for you! The Pink City is also a gastronomic capital, boasting a wide variety of products, just like its region, Occitanie.

Back to La Vinatière, where in summer you can take advantage of the nearby water sports centre, which has been awarded the Blue Flag. There are 4 swimming pools (one of which is covered), a swimming lake with slide, pentogliss, refreshment bar, play area, white sandy beach, mini-golf, shaded picnic area, barbecues and a fishing lake. You can get there on foot or by hiring electric bikes in Monclar.

As you wander around and discover new things, you'll be able to enjoy hearty, tasty dishes made from local produce such as Ail Rose de Lautrec, jambon cru de Lacaune, oignon de Lescure, veau fermier du Lauragais, Respountchou (wild asparagus), elderberry jam, Tarn cheeses and much more!

Pets are accepted if they are sociable and clean. We ourselves have cats, a dog and a few chickens.
