Jean-Paul and Colette have set up a cosy studio apartment next to the owners' house in the centre of Rabastens.
Just 25 minutes from Toulouse and Albi, Rabastens is halfway between the two towns. In the evening, after exploring the Pays des Bastides Albigeoises or the Gaillac vineyards, you can take advantage of the swimming pool shared with the owners. The guest house comprises a living room with kitchenette, shower room and toilet, and a mezzanine bedroom with double bed. Outside, there is a large terrace for meals. Geothermal heating. Bed linen and towels provided, cleaning service at the end of your stay.
A land of brick, a land of wine, a land of encounters. Its colours, typical, lively streets, market and historic buildings make Rabastens a place not to be missed. On arrival, you'll be struck by the ubiquitous brickwork that is so characteristic of Rabastens. Then, as you stroll through the village, you'll discover the Church of Notre-Dame du Bourg, a UNESCO World Heritage Site (a remarkable monument on the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela), its magnificent frescoes dating from the 13th to 15th centuries, the ramparts and the "Musée du Pays Rabastinois". The charm and gentle way of life of the Tarn region are at work. From now on, you'll be lazing about on the banks of the Tarn, and the area around Rabastens will be making eyes at you. Starting from the village, six signposted footpaths lead you through the green countryside, where dovecotes, chapels and small hamlets surrounded by fields, vines and orchards reveal themselves as you walk.
