You will love Gaillac, a dynamic town between Toulouse and Albi, which gave its name to one of the oldest vineyards in France. The historic centre has kept all the attractions of a typical South West village, all in brick, reflected in the Tarn. The Abbaye St-Michel or the Place du Griffoul, the parks and lively streets are a must, for example on market day. The reputation of Gaillac's wines is well established and there are many things to see and taste. Stroll along the Chemins de la Vigne, meet the winemakers, taste the reds, whites or rosés... There are more than 100 listed at the Maison des vins. And if you want to put on your trainers and walk between vineyards and woods, ask your hosts for advice, they know their vineyards inside out.
