Hautpoul medieval village

According to legend, Hautpoul was founded in 413 by a king of the Visigoth.

Area of bloody religious wars, people move away from Hautpoul to the Arnette valley where they found Mazamet.

Nowadays, craftsmen and artisans' workshops have revitalised the village.

The "Rocher de la Vierge" and the ancient castle offer to the walkers magnificent panoramas on the Arnette valley and Mazamet.
