The fifth power station of the Saut du Tarn factory is located on a unique site, the peninsula of Ambialet. It was commissioned in 1920 by the metallurgical company "Saut du Tarn", in place of an old mill.
The Tarn makes a long loop of 3 km and when the river seems to turn back, the peninsula is only about 30 metres wide. This is where the power station is located, now operated by EDF.
It can be visited in summer, each tuesday and thursday at 11am.
