Winegrower of Passion O Heart of Graves. Our family vineyard is located in Montans, a small village with Gallo-Roman remains in the heart of the Gaillac region. Our exceptional terroir and our unique grape varieties allow us to offer a large number of wines.
Our vineyards :
Located 40 km north-east of Toulouse, the Gaillac appellation stretches along both banks of the river Tarn and up to the Cordais plateau.
The vineyard's climate benefits from two influences: the mild oceanic climate and the Mediterranean heat, which, in summer and autumn, accentuated by the Autan wind, ensure that the grapes ripen well.
The estate covers 65 hectares of red and 10 hectares of white, on three geologically different terroirs: Gravel / Clay-gravel / Gravel-limestone.
This wealth of terroir and soil, ranging from gravel to clay, enables us to produce and vinify a large number of unique grape varieties with character: Braucol, Duras and Syrah for the reds, and Loin de L'œil, Mauzac and Muscadelle for the whites. All these grape varieties from our region give our wines their originality, elegance and strength.
Like our terroir and our grape varieties, our wines are complex and draw their strength from this diversity.
Our estate :
The Domaine Carcenac is now run by Nicole and her son Cédric Carcenac, a family story that goes back several generations.
Today, we are delighted to be able to present to you the work of all these years of tradition and expertise.
Our wines reflect our history, and combine typicality and modernity.
It is possible to visit it in groups (minimum 10 people) every day of the year (except 1st January and 25th December, Sundays by prior arrangement) from 8am to 12pm and from 2pm to 5pm for one and a half hours.
