The Cérou bee is located in Monestiés, in the Tarn.
It aims to make you discover the world of bees and forget the notion of yield, protect bees and beyond other pollinating insects, the environment.
The bee of Cérou proposes the installation of hives in individuals, communities and companies, as well as the introduction to beekeeping. Family discovery afternoons are possible on reservation.
From the bee to the nest box
I create and manufacture nest boxes and other shelters to encourage biodiversity. Placed in a tree, in a hedge, under the lean-to, your nest box will quickly welcome its guests, bird or small fauna of the garden.
I mainly use Douglas pine, from sustainably managed local farms. This untreated wood will naturally gray, you can pass it to linseed oil or vegetable paint.
It can also be fruit or other woods harvested during wanderings in nature.
Each nest box is handcrafted in the workshop in Monestiés. It is covered with a pretty board or a lauze. It is unique.
Welcoming birds to the garden is to make it more alive
It is to favour other pollinators
It is to help biodiversity
Without forgetting to sow a sprig of wild flowers at the bottom of the garden and leave it for the little animals . .
